Allreal starts construction work on Rieter Campus in Winterthur ZH
Glattpark, 16 February 2022: Allreal recently started work on the Rieter Campus project in Winterthur ZH. Rieter is the world’s leading supplier of systems for short-staple fibre spinning. Allreal is working on the project as the total contractor. The investment volume amounts to about CHF 80 million.
The new Rieter Campus is being built on Klosterstrasse in Winterthur ZH. There, the long-standing Swiss company is creating a site spanning some 30,000 square metres that will include a customer and technology centre alongside an administration building.
A study contract involving a total of five well-regarded architecture firms was conducted for the project in 2017 and the plans put forward by the company BDE Architekten based in Winterthur ZH were selected. In terms of building services, this is a highly complex project. For example, the space to be used for product and technology development needs to be divided up into different temperature zones that can be individually adjusted. The project is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2024.
