Allreal is planning a residential complex with 19 terraced houses in Zumikon ZH

Glattpark, 7 November 2022: At Strubenacher in Zumikon ZH, Allreal is planning a residential complex on a plot with an area of around 4,500 square metres with a total of 19 terraced houses. These will be designed and sold as residential property. To develop the project, the company carried out a study contract involving four architecture firms. The judging panel unanimously recommended the project of the consortium Mathis Kamplade Architekten and Theres Hollenstein Architektur from Zurich for further processing. Construction is scheduled to start in 2025, with completion planned for 2027.

In 2019, Allreal acquired a plot with a total area of 4,569 square metres directly opposite the International School. Due to the high demand for residential property in Zumikon, Allreal is planning to build 19 terraced houses with 5½ rooms each on the plot. These will be sold as residential property.

In order to realise a high-quality project in terms of urban planning and architecture, four well-known architectural firms were invited to enter a competition in the second half of 2021. The evaluation committee, headed by Michael Geschwentner, Steib Gmür Geschwentner Kyburz Architekten, (Zurich), unanimously recommended the project of the Mathis Kamplade Architekten consortium in cooperation with Theres Hollenstein Architektur from Zurich for further processing.

The residential complex includes two rows of houses arranged one behind the other; the space in the middle is both a point of access and a meeting place. The modular design of the building units ensures a high quality of living in all terraced houses. The buildings will be built according to the Minergie-Eco standard.

Due to the requirement for a development plan for the land, Allreal has developed a private partial plan that will be filed in November 2022 approximately. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025 - depending on the permitting process - with completion in 2027.
